Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 4
  • Chopped Onion – 3
  • Chopped Chillies – 4
  • Carom Seeds/Ajwain – 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Grated Ginger – 1 tsp
  • Lemon Juice – 1 tsp
  • Chopped Coriander
  • Rice Flour – 1 tbsp
  • Gram Flour/Besan – 1 cup
  • Hot Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  • To make crispy and tasty Aloo Pyaz Pakora, first take four potatoes chopped into cube shapes and chopped onion.
  • Take a bowl and add chopped potato and onion to it.
  • Add 4 chopped chillies, 1/2 tsp of carom seeds, 1/4 tsp of asafoetida, 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder, 1 tsp of coriander powder, salt as per taste, and 1 tsp of grated ginger.
  • Add 1 tsp of lemon juice, chopped coriander, and 1 tbsp of rice flour.
  • Gradually add 1 cup of gram flour and mix well.
  • Place a pan on the flame and heat oil for deep frying on a medium flame.
  • Once the oil is hot, take 1 tablespoon of hot oil and add it to the pakora mixture. Mix well, and add water if required.
  • Take small portions of the mix and carefully drop them into the hot oil one by one.
  • Stir with a spoon and fry until golden on medium flame.
  • Once the pakoras turn golden, transfer them to a plate and fry the next batch.
