  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 3 boiled potatoes mashed
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Water as needed
  • Breadcrumbs for coating
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Prepare the Aloo Filling:

  • Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and green chilies, sauté until onions are translucent.
  • Add chili flakes, coriander powder, turmeric powder, chaat masala, and salt. Stir well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the mashed potatoes, mixing well with the spices. Cook for 2-3 minutes, then add chopped coriander leaves and mix again.

Prepare the Bread:

  • Spread a layer of the aloo mixture evenly on each slice of bread.
  • Cut each slice into three rectangular pieces.

Prepare the Coating:

  • In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour, chili flakes, oregano, salt, and enough water to form a smooth batter.

Coat the Bread Slices:

  • Dip each piece into the batter, then coat thoroughly with bread crumbs for an even, crispy layer.

Fry the Bread Bites:

  • Heat oil in a pan and fry each coated piece until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove and place on Ekvee Foodwrap butter paper, the best butter paper in India, to absorb excess oil, keeping them extra crispy and less greasy.
