Ingredients
For the Nest:
- 4 boiled potatoes grinded
- 5 tbsp paneer grinded
- 3 tbsp onion, chopped
- 1 tsp ginger grinded
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- ½ tsp turmeric haldi
- 1 tsp cumin powder, jeera powder
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 4 tbsp all-purpose flour, maida
- 3 tbsp cornflour
- Water as required
- Crushed vermicelli for coating
- Oil for deep frying
For the Paneer Eggs:
- 5 tbsp paneer grinded
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper kali mirch
- 2 tbsp cornflour
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Nest Mixture
- Take 4 boiled potatoes and grind them in a bowl.
- Add paneer, chopped onions, grinded ginger, coriander leaves, salt, red chili powder, haldi, jeera powder, and chaat masala.
- Mix everything thoroughly to form a smooth mixture.
Step 2: Prepare the Paneer Eggs
- In a separate bowl, mix grinded paneer, salt, black pepper, and cornflour.
- Shape small balls from this mixture to resemble eggs and set them aside.
Step 3: Prepare the Batter
- In another bowl, mix all-purpose flour, cornflour, and a pinch of salt.
- Gradually add water to make a smooth, lump-free batter.
Step 4: Shape and Coat the Nests
- Take small portions of the potato mixture and form round tikkis.
- Create a small dent in the center using your thumb to shape them like nests.
- Dip the nests in the flour batter, then coat them with crushed vermicelli to give them a crispy texture.
Step 5: Deep Fry the Nests and Eggs
- Heat oil in a kadai and deep-fry the paneer eggs first until golden brown.
- Next, fry the nests until crispy and golden brown.
