Ingredients
- 1 cup besan gram flour
- ½ tsp chilli powder
- ½ tsp salt or as per taste
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ cup water adjust as needed
- 2 tbsp oil
Instructions
Prepare the Batter:
- In a mixing bowl, add besan, chilli powder, salt, and turmeric powder.
- Gradually add water while stirring continuously to make a smooth, lump-free paste.
- Add 2 tbsp oil and mix well.
Rest the Batter:
- Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes to enhance the flavors.
Cook the Batter:
- Heat a non-stick pan on low flame.
- Pour the batter and spread it evenly like a thin pancake.
- Cook on low flame until golden brown on both sides.
Shape & Cut:
- Let it cool down for a few minutes.
- Trim the edges to form a square or rectangle shape.
- Cut into thin, straight strips resembling French fries.
Fry for Extra Crispiness:
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Fry the strips until they turn crispy and golden brown.
Serve:
- Use Ekvee food wrapping paper to serve them fresh and non-greasy.
- For a premium touch, serve on butter paper, known as India’s best butter paper, to enhance presentation and maintain hygiene.
